Euronext, a prominent Pan-European market infrastructure, has unveiled the 2023 instalment of its pre-IPO initiatives, TechShare and IPOready. The educational schemes are intended to assist European firms considering listing on Euronext in the future.

The current year’s edition will feature over 140 companies from 16 European nations, marking it as the most expansive and diverse group of firms ever to participate. The countries represented include:

  • Belgium
  • Bulgaria
  • Cyprus
  • Czech Republic
  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • The Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom

TechShare and IPOready are predominantly populated by tech-based companies. Here’s the breakdown:

  • General tech (71%)
  • Healthtech (15%)
  • Cleantech (9%)
  • Traditional business (5%)

These participants boast robust corporate profiles, with average annual revenues around €29 million and collectively employing over 20,000 individuals. Since their establishment, they have collectively raised an average of €26 million. A large portion of these companies currently receive backing from private equity or venture capital funds.

Over the course of eight editions of Euronext’s TechShare pre-IPO educational programme, more than 680 alumni have participated. From these alumni, 21 have gone on to list their companies. Among the companies that listed on Euronext markets in 2022 are:

  • Civitanavi Systems (€34 million raised – February 2022)
  • Yolo Group (€10 million raised – August 2022)
  • E-Novia (€15 million raised – December 2022)

Pre-IPO programmes form part of Euronext’s dedication to supporting the European Tech Sector. In 2022, Euronext introduced Euronext Tech Leaders, a programme focussed on enhancing the visibility and appeal of high-growth and leading Tech companies.

Stéphane Boujnah, CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext N.V., expressed his enthusiasm for the new participants:

“We extend a warm welcome to the 140+ new ambitious European participants to the largest and most diverse edition of TechShare and IPOready ever. Companies are given a unique opportunity to acquaint themselves with the IPO process well ahead of a potential listing on Euronext. Beyond gaining practical experience in preparing for a potential IPO, participation in Euronext’s pre-IPO programmes offers access to a powerful network of entrepreneurs that Euronext will continue to support in their growth journey over the years.”
