Translucia Co., a leading virtual world engine, has announced a partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Media Lab. The collaboration aims to explore new cross-reality artificial intelligence (AI) technologies designed to foster sustainable happiness and human-nature interactions in both virtual and physical worlds.

Translucia, developed by T&B Media Global and MQDC, utilizes AI, blockchain, and immersive technologies to create an interconnected Web 3 experience. With its fully developed ecosystem, Translucia aims to serve and integrate with other platforms to produce a comprehensive virtual universe.

As part of this ambitious project, Translucia has teamed up with MQDC Idyllias, a company specializing in creating virtual worlds and real estate-based tech integrations. Together, they hope to unlock new possibilities for virtual world platforms.

Dr. Jwanwat Ahriyavraromp, CEO of T&B Media Global (Thailand) and founder of Translucia, expressed his excitement about the collaboration. “This partnership brings together the exceptional talent of a world-class academic research lab and the commitment of the Translucia and MQDC Idyllias teams,” he said. “We aim to explore how a virtual world could foster an ethical, environmentally friendly community that drives economic development.”

The collaboration’s goal is to advance ‘sustainnovation’ – the fusion of innovative and sustainable technology – which could lay the foundation for future virtual world development.

Mr Phantabat Santimakorn, Translucia’s Chief Business Development Officer, explained that unlike other virtual projects, “Translucia is being developed as an infinite universe of interconnected virtual worlds.” He further highlighted the value of collaborating with advanced research centers like the Media Lab, known for their multidisciplinary expertise.

Santimakorn added,

“Collaboration with world-class technology centers such as the MIT Media Lab is key to exploring these capabilities. Initially, we will jointly research a technology stack to support the connection between different metaverses and explore a series of AI technologies. This will be key in one day developing an ecosystem that supports the formation of an environmentally interactive, sustainable world of happiness.”

In addition to partnering with the MIT Media Lab, Translucia will also collaborate with MQDC Idyllias. The virtual worlds being developed can similarly be used as a platform for the research collaboration.

The partnership between Translucia and the MIT Media Lab signifies a significant stride towards the development of sustainable virtual worlds. It sets the stage for future collaborations that could revolutionize the way we interact with the digital realm and the natural world.
